Minister's Note for October

Dear brothers and sisters,
It is with great joy that I share news of these Professions and of Transitus.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 1, at the 10:00 am Mass at the Serra Center of
Mission San Luis Rey Parish, we celebrate the Permanent Profession
to the Secular Franciscan Order:

Kelly Farnum,  Samuel DeSantis,  Elizabeth Mavis

   “Before this fraternity and the other members of the People of God gathered here, I ask you to express your will” - With these words, their profound commitment to the Gospel Life will begin. Please join the San Luis Rey Fraternity as we celebrate and give thanks to God. The Profession and the following reception will take the place of our usual monthly gathering. Please arrive early to the 10:00 am Mass so we can all sit together.  Reception immediately after Mass in the Serra Room of the Retreat Center.

TUESDAY OCTOBER 3 - TRANSITUS

The Transitus of Our Holy Father Francis at 7:00 pm in the Historic Church, Mission San Luis Rey.  The friars of Mission San Luis Rey invite all members of the Franciscan family to this beautiful commemoration. 

Please arrive early if you wish to sit together.  Reception to follow in the Sacred Garden.
