Each month, we gather together to share in Community.

Would you like to join us for any or all of our monthly gathering?  Reach out to us on our Contact page and we'd be happy to welcome you in front of the Old Mission and accompany you through our day.
     We gather as a community the second Sunday of each month; our gatherings have a feeling of being a day of 'Retreat.' Our time together is rooted in prayer and fellowship. We attend Mass, pray the Little Office of St. Francis, enjoy lunch, (celebrating significant events, of course!) and then hold our general meeting. Our general meetings are a time for us to learn what's happening both in our local Fraternity and regionally.

     We may have guest speakers who may be a professor from the Franciscan School of Theology, a Franciscan Friar, or a Secular sharing their story or an area of expertise.  Our meetings also have time for group interaction and discussion.  ​Here's what our typical monthly gathering day might look like, with the understanding that not everyone may have the time to experience all of it each month:

  • ​​Noon - We each bring a brown bag lunch and enjoy socializing in the beautiful ambiance of the Old Mission Retreat Center. During lunch time, people may also spend time walking  the outdoor Stations of the Cross, or even prayerfully walking the labyrinth.
  • 12:40 - Community prayer in the St. Clare Chapel, engaging with the Little Office of St. Francis or another form of community prayer. Prayer time may include Eucharistic Adoration.
  • ​1:00 - General Fraternity meeting in an Old Mission meeting room (location will be posted).
  • ​3:00 - Day concludes
